Brown Bear meadow field
Bulgaria is home to a significant population of brown bears, estimated to be between 400 and 700 individuals. The densest populations are found in the Central Balkans and the Rhodope Mountains. The brown bear is a protected species in Bulgaria, and there's a management plan in place to help conserve the population.
